Welcome to the website for Giving Something Back on Long Island d/b/a BRIDGE THE GAP! We have been providing financial and other support to children and families in need in NY since 1999.
We are an IRS recognized 501c3 charitable organization, and are a not for profit corporation registered as a charity with New York under Registration No. 06-72-14, in New Jersey under Registration No. CH3150000, and in Pennsylvania under Registration No. 36757
Our donations are placed into the hands of deserving individuals and organizations for their direct benefit. We obtain our funds through public donations of food and clothing, and also through the generous efforts of professional fundraiser, The Gift of Giving, which collects used clothing in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and donates a portion of the proceeds from their sale to help us fulfill our mission.
